Role Overview: IT Systems Integration Technician Jobs in Lusaka

As an IT Systems Integration Technician, you will play a critical role in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of ICT systems. You will ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components, supporting our clients’ operational efficiency and technological advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, servers, and printers.
• Set up and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, wireless access points, and structured cabling.
• Support Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications.
• Install and maintain CCTV surveillance, biometric and card-based access control systems.
• Manage two-way radio communication systems and basic solar/backup power solutions.
• Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed technical installation requirements.
• Perform equipment testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
• Prepare installation reports, job cards, network diagrams, and other technical documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• At least two years of hands-on experience in ICT systems installation, configuration, maintenance, and technical support.
• Valid driver’s license with over one year of practical driving experience.
• Possession of at least one recognized professional certification, such as Microsoft, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MikroTik, HPE, Aruba, Dell, Lenovo, or Ubiquiti.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, VLANs, and wireless networking.
• Experience joining computers to domains, configuring user accounts, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Proficiency in structured cabling, equipment mounting, cable termination, labeling, and testing.
• Excellent hardware and software installation and troubleshooting skills.

• Effective communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a technical team.
• Willingness to travel and work at client sites as required.
• Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.
