Position Overview
As an IT Infrastructure Support Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the bank’s technology infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include installing, modifying, and repairing computer hardware and software systems, as well as providing technical assistance to end users. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of hardware and related components, and conducting site visits to various branches to deliver on-site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, upgrade, and repair computer hardware and software, including servers, operating systems, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
- Provide technical support to end users to ensure smooth operation of hardware and software systems.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records of all computer hardware and related components.
- Conduct site visits to branch offices and other locations to offer on-site IT support and troubleshooting.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary IT qualification with mandatory Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) certification.
- Minimum of three years’ full-time experience in a similar IT infrastructure support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, communication devices, access control systems, and CCTV systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Possession of a ZAQA Verification Certificate for tertiary qualifications is required.
