About the Inventory Officer Role

As an Inventory Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing stock accuracy and ensuring smooth warehouse processes. Your responsibilities will include receiving stock, performing regular stock counts, maintaining precise inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring the secure storage and movement of goods within the facility located in Chalala, Shantumbu Road, Lusaka.

Key Responsibilities for Inventory Officer Jobs in Lusaka

• Receive and verify incoming stock shipments.
• Conduct regular stock taking and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records using inventory management systems.
• Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure proper storage and safe handling of all inventory items within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply, Purchasing and Supply, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience in inventory management, stock taking, warehouse operations, or procurement is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of inventory control processes and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with inventory or CRM systems.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reliable, honest, and capable of working effectively under pressure.
