Role Overview – Internal Auditor Jobs in Zambia

As an Internal Auditor with Sunda International, you will play a critical role in assessing and strengthening our business processes. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing audits across multiple departments, investigating irregularities, and providing actionable recommendations to mitigate risks. This position demands a keen analytical mindset and the ability to communicate findings effectively to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal audits across various business functions and operations.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and suggest improvements to reduce risk exposure.
• Identify operational, financial, and business risks, recommending corrective measures accordingly.
• Investigate suspected fraud, theft, misconduct, and other irregularities thoroughly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls through regular reviews.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, minimizing losses, and enhancing governance.
• Advise on improvements to business processes and control environments.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Internal Controls, Loss Prevention, or Investigations.
• Essential experience in an FMCG or manufacturing setting.
• Proven track record in operational audits and investigations into fraud or misconduct is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Self-motivated, confident, and capable of working independently.
