Position: Internal Auditor
Location: Lusaka, ZRCS Headquarters
Employment Type: Full Time, Fixed Contract (with possible extension subject to performance and funding)
Reporting To: Secretary General

Role Overview for Internal Auditor Jobs in Lusaka
The Internal Auditor will oversee the effectiveness of ZRCS’s internal control systems by applying systematic audit methodologies. Responsibilities include evaluating risk management, governance processes, and financial procedures to identify areas for improvement. The role involves planning and conducting internal audits, reviewing expenditures, consulting with staff, and recommending corrective actions to enhance organizational performance and safeguard resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all internal audit activities within the Zambia Red Cross Society.
- Analyze financial processes and identify risks in business practices.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
- Review project and national society expenditures for compliance and accuracy.
- Interview and consult with employees to assess operational efficiency.
- Prepare clear, detailed audit reports to support decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Proven experience as an internal auditor or senior auditor.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
- Strong ability to handle large data sets and produce comprehensive reports.
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Leadership capability with sound independent judgment.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
