About the Graduate Technical Auditor Role
As a Graduate Technical Auditor, you will assist in shaping the technical components of the annual internal audit plans for ZESCO’s operating technical directorates. Your work will involve conducting audits and providing advisory services to management and staff across accountable business units. The role emphasizes a risk-based approach, ensuring audits align with strategic priorities and support effective governance.
Key Responsibilities for Graduate Technical Auditor Jobs in Zambia
- Compile comprehensive reports for Entry and Exit Conferences for each audit engagement.
- Assist in developing audit objectives, plans, and scopes consistent with the Internal Audit Charter and audit risk assessments.
- Prepare detailed, tailored audit programs to ensure thorough and effective audit procedures.
- Execute assigned audit projects by identifying issues, developing criteria, analyzing evidence, and documenting processes.
- Conduct interviews, review documentation, administer surveys, and prepare working papers and summary memos.
- Identify, document, and recommend improvements based on audit findings.
- Prepare and present clear, concise, and accurate audit reports for management.
- Maintain professional working relationships with location personnel and fellow auditors.
- Engage in professional development activities, including training and association memberships, and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- No prior work experience is required, making this an ideal entry-level position.
