About the Role: General Manager Jobs in Chongwe

As General Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of all aspects of the restaurant and bar. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining operational excellence and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This contract position requires a hands-on manager who can lead by example and drive success across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff including kitchen, bar, and floor teams, managing rosters, training, and discipline
• Control operational costs, including food and liquor costs, minimizing wastage, and achieving monthly profit targets
• Manage customer service standards, VIP bookings, complaint resolution, and compliance with health inspections
• Oversee daily cash-ups, sales reporting, and stock reconciliations in collaboration with the Accountant
• Enforce opening and closing procedures, grooming standards, and service protocols
• Maintain residency within Chongwe to ensure availability and community engagement

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of management experience in a busy bar or restaurant setting. You must be proficient with POS systems and able to maintain composure during peak hours, particularly on busy Friday nights. Familiarity with ZRA, NAPSA, and NHIMA regulations is essential. A diploma in Hospitality or Business Management will be considered an advantage.
