Position Overview

The Forensic Analyst will play a critical role in assisting with the annual planning of forensic audits and providing consulting services across all business units within ZESCO. Emphasis is placed on a risk-based approach to auditing and investigations, ensuring that management receives insightful support to safeguard company assets and improve operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities for Forensic Analyst Jobs in Zambia

  • Compile comprehensive reports for Entry and Exit Conferences related to each audit project.
  • Support the development of audit objectives, scopes, and plans aligned with the Internal Audit Charter and risk assessments.
  • Prepare detailed and tailored audit programs to ensure thorough examination and prevent ineffective audit practices.
  • Execute audit assignments by identifying issues, developing evaluation criteria, analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes.
  • Conduct interviews, review relevant documents, administer surveys, and prepare summary memos and working papers.
  • Identify and document audit findings and propose actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Draft and present clear, concise, and accurate audit reports to management.
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff auditors and personnel at various locations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, including attending training sessions and participating in professional associations.
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, ICT, or a related field, or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA Zambia.
  • Certification as a Fraud Examiner (CFE) is a strong advantage.
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial investigations or forensic auditing.
