This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient supervision of our fleet operations, overseeing truck movements and driver coordination to support both operational and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities for Fleet Controller Jobs in Chambishi

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Monitor and coordinate daily truck movements from the yard, through loading and transit points, to offloading destinations.
• Utilize GPS tracking systems to continuously track fleet locations and status.
• Communicate and follow up with clearing agents at border points to ensure timely processing of company documents.
• Prepare and submit detailed monthly reports on vehicle movements and operational issues to supervisors.
• Maintain and update daily tracking reports for all fleet activities.
• Ensure drivers are equipped with all necessary lashing equipment prior to arrival at loading and offloading sites.
• Verify driver adherence to estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) and provide route and border crossing guidance.
• Enforce compliance with Company Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies as outlined in the operating manual.
• Conduct debriefing sessions with drivers following each trip to review performance and address any concerns.
• Perform additional lawful tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Possess a Full Grade Twelve Certificate including English and Mathematics.
• Hold a Certificate or Diploma in Transport and Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
