About the Finance Officer Intern Role

As a Finance Officer Intern, you will provide essential support in accounting and administrative tasks, contributing to the effective management of financial processes. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, facilitating timely payments, and supporting budget administration. This position is based in Lusaka and is open exclusively to Zambian nationals.

Key Responsibilities for Finance Officer Intern Jobs in Lusaka

• Assist with bookkeeping and prepare financial reports to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Process timely payments to partners and service providers, monitoring the cash position of local accounts.
• Manage the budget, oversee contract administration, and maintain the inventory asset register.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by sharing knowledge and best practices in financial operations.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in financial management, with emphasis on accounting and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP or other financial management systems.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills relevant to the country context are an advantage.
