Role Overview for Finance Administration Manager Jobs in Lusaka

Reporting directly to the Project Director, the Finance & Administration Manager will oversee all financial operations, including donor fund management, accounting, budgeting, and compliance with organisational policies. This contract position demands a strategic thinker with at least five years of finance management experience and a strong ethical compass.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Oversee financial activities, monitor cash flow, ensure compliance with BSNP financial policies, and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop and monitor budgets aligned with strategic goals and assist departments in budget preparation and expenditure monitoring.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate reports including ledgers, payroll, profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements; maintain audit-ready books and update asset registers.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and promptly report any irregularities to management.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the finance team by providing guidance, fostering a professional environment, and encouraging capacity building.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 Certificate with at least five O-level passes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; ACCA or CIMA certification preferred.
  • Active membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
  • Minimum of five years of finance management experience, including managing donor funds.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and accounting procedures with excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Pastel Accounting is an advantage.
  • Exceptional time management skills, strong ethics, and ability to handle confidential information.
