Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly financial reports.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with statutory obligations including NAPSA, ZRA, and NHIMA.
  • Prepare budgets and monitor cash flow.
  • Support procurement activities and maintain inventory records.
  • Oversee general office administration and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Full professional certification (CIMA, ZICA, or ACCA) and membership with ZICA.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks.
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills, and high integrity.

Engineering Jobs in Lusaka: Skilled Trades and Technical Roles

Atlas Workforce is also recruiting for several technical roles essential to our engineering and construction projects. Candidates must demonstrate relevant certifications and practical experience.

Bricklayers (2 positions)

Responsible for constructing and maintaining brick and block structures following project specifications and safety standards.

  • Grade 12 certificate and Craft Certificate in Bricklaying and Plastering.
  • 2-3 years proven experience in masonry work.
  • Proficient use of masonry tools and good physical stamina.

Boiler Makers (2 positions)

Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures used in mining operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Grade 12 certificate and Craft Certificate in Boiler Making or Metal Fabrication.
  • 2-3 years welding experience with knowledge of welding techniques and safety.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Plumbers (2 positions)

Install and maintain water supply, drainage systems, and plumbing fixtures in residential and commercial projects.

  • Grade 12 certificate and Craft Certificate in Plumbing, Pipe Fitting, and Sheet Metal from a recognized Zambian technical institution.
  • Proven plumbing experience and knowledge of water and drainage systems.
  • Skilled in diagnostics, system redesign, and use of plumbing tools.

Electricians (4 positions)

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Grade 12 certificate and Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven electrician experience with knowledge of electrical safety regulations.
  • Competence in using electrical testing equipment and tools.

Mechanical Fitters (4 positions)

Assemble, install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems on heavy mining equipment, supporting continuous and safe operations.

  • Experience in mechanical assembly and maintenance according to technical specifications.
  • Ability to diagnose faults and conduct precision repairs.

Dump Truck Operators (4 positions)

Operate heavy vehicles to transport materials safely around the mine site, supporting daily production activities.

  • Grade 12 certificate and valid Operator Training Certificate.
  • Proven experience as a dump truck operator in an industrial or mining environment.
  • Ability to work on-site and adhere to safety protocols.
