Key Responsibilities for Electrician Jobs in Lusaka

• Collaborate with supervisors to obtain work orders and machinery breakdown reports for repairs and installation of electrical instruments and plant machinery in factories and offices.
• Conduct repairs, maintenance, and installation of plant machinery and standard equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
• Perform daily inspections of machinery to verify operational status and promptly report any abnormalities to supervisors to avoid production disruptions.
• Follow planned maintenance schedules for electrical plants and equipment to minimize wear, tear, and unexpected breakdowns.
• Repair electronic devices and equipment using blueprints and manufacturer specifications, employing hand tools and testing instruments.
• Analyze and interpret test data to adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuits and components, documenting the effects on equipment performance according to electronic standards.
• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting good company manpower policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience; knowledge of PLC systems is an advantage.
