About the Electrical Foreman Role

The Electrical Foreman will provide hands-on supervision and leadership to electrical technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules and troubleshooting activities to maintain optimal performance of electrical systems. This position requires effective communication across departments, particularly with Mining, to maximize equipment uptime and support operational goals.

Key Responsibilities for Electrical Foreman Jobs in Southern Province Zambia

• Plan and schedule maintenance activities for electrical equipment and systems.
• Lead and organize the General Electrical Services team to deliver high-quality service.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on various electrical assets.
• Forecast and procure spare parts for maintenance and stock replenishment.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure prudent use of company resources.
• Set and pursue goals and objectives for the electrical section.
• Ensure compliance with mining, environmental, and electrical regulations.
• Promote a safe work environment and prevent environmental harm.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and undertake project work as required.
• Communicate effectively across departments to support equipment availability.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least eight (8) years of experience in power electrical systems, preferably within the mining industry.
• Minimum three (3) years in a supervisory role overseeing electrical teams.
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with design and planning software is an advantage.
