As a driver with EMC Electrical Mechanical Contractor Limited, you will play a vital role in the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, equipment, and materials to various mining and dewatering sites. This role demands a responsible individual who ensures vehicle maintenance, adheres to safety protocols, and supports site logistics.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport workers, supervisors, and visitors safely to multiple dewatering and mining locations.
• Deliver and collect essential equipment, tools, and materials required for operational activities.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, including checks on fuel, oil, tires, brakes, and lights, reporting any issues promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of the assigned vehicle to ensure reliability.
• Comply strictly with road safety regulations and company safety policies at all times.
• Assist with basic loading and unloading of equipment and supplies when necessary.
• Keep accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Provide logistical support to site teams as required.
• Follow supervisors’ instructions and adapt to changing schedules or site demands effectively.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle class.
• At least 2 to 3 years of driving experience, preferably within mining or industrial settings.
• Good knowledge of local routes and mining site access roads in the Copperbelt region.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work in remote, physically demanding environments.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and defensive driving techniques.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Possession of a valid silicosis certificate is required.
