Position Overview: Dozer and Loader Operator Jobs in Masaiti

As an Operator for earth moving equipment, your main responsibility will be to handle various heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, and earth movers. You will be expected to perform pre-start inspections, operate equipment with precision during excavation, roadwork, and lifting tasks, and ensure routine maintenance and safety checks are conducted. Maintaining accurate logs and reporting any incidents promptly will be essential to support smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and follow detailed work instructions, performing physical and pre-start checks on assigned equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, earth movers, bulldozers, and front-end loaders safely and efficiently.
• Control machinery to achieve correct positioning and angles for excavation, road construction, and lifting tasks.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and routine maintenance or servicing on equipment.
• Coordinate effectively with road and transport systems during operations to ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain driving logs, complete vehicle performance reports, and notify supervisors of any major repairs or maintenance needs.
• Report accidents, damages, or injuries immediately for prompt supervisory intervention.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Valid heavy equipment operating licence or permit.
• Driving licence class CE.
• Minimum of two years’ experience operating heavy machinery in mining haulage or a related field.
