The Demand Planner will serve as a cornerstone of the supply chain function, responsible for gathering and analyzing sales data to develop precise demand forecasts. This role requires a proactive individual who can anticipate market changes, contribute to pricing and purchasing decisions, and support a robust sales and operations planning process. The successful candidate will ensure efficient planning, delivery, and inventory control by leveraging advanced analytical tools and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze sales data to produce reliable demand forecasts.
• Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and supply chain departments to incorporate relevant insights into demand planning.
• Establish and maintain inventory targets aligned with forecasted demand.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and report findings.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions.
• Use advanced forecasting software and analytical tools to enhance forecast accuracy.
• Adjust forecasts based on market trends and sales performance data.
• Develop strategies for new product launches and phase-outs.
• Continuously improve demand planning processes and systems.
• Communicate demand plans and updates effectively to stakeholders.
• Conduct root cause analysis for discrepancies between forecasts and actual sales.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on demand planning metrics.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to align demand planning with overall business objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in demand planning or a similar analytical role, preferably within retail or manufacturing sectors.
• Proficiency with demand planning software such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data modeling.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.

Compensation and Application Details
