About the Role: Data and Analytics Lead Jobs in Siavonga

As the Data and Analytics Lead based in Siavonga, you will oversee the quality and uptime of critical production reports and manage the workflow of the Data Clerks team. You will spearhead ad hoc projects designed to enhance data visibility and develop systems that support Production operational teams. Your role will also involve conducting in-depth data analysis to uncover actionable insights that address key business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business problems using authoritative datasets from across the organisation.
• Evaluate and improve the reliability and quality of operational data sources.
• Review and provide feedback on monthly analyses prepared by the Data & Analytics team.
• Perform advanced statistical analysis leveraging Excel and SQL.
• Manage both short- and long-term data and analytics projects from initiation through completion.
• Introduce innovative problem-solving approaches, including adoption of new or enhanced data tools.
• Lead and coordinate external developer teams to deliver software solutions that meet organizational standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of data and analytics professionals, fostering motivation and timely delivery of high-quality work.

Technical Skills and Tools

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform: Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
• Strong programming and querying skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AI tools to enhance productivity and generate insights.
• Expert programming abilities in SAS, R, or SQL.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience involving database management, data analysis, or analytics.
• Proven experience conducting employee performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
• Demonstrated use of analytics to support company growth, including revenue enhancement and key business outcomes.
• Familiarity with econometric analysis methods.

Additional Skills

• Strong problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to scope, plan, manage, monitor, and evaluate data science and analytics projects effectively.
