About the Data Analyst Role at ZESCO

As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing complex data sets and providing actionable insights to Audit & Risk management and staff. Your work will involve developing and executing annual data analytics plans with a strong emphasis on risk assessment. You will collaborate closely with various teams to ensure data-driven decision-making aligns with the company’s internal audit framework and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities in Data Analyst Jobs in Zambia

• Compile comprehensive reports for Entry and Exit Conferences related to each audit assignment.
• Assist in defining assignment objectives, scope, and risk assessments consistent with the Internal Audit Charter.
• Develop detailed, tailored assignment programs to ensure thorough testing and effective data analysis techniques.
• Execute data analysis projects by identifying issues, scripting, reviewing datasets, and documenting client procedures.
• Conduct interviews, review documentation, administer surveys, and prepare summary memos and working papers.
• Identify and document findings and recommendations for further investigation.
• Prepare concise, accurate reports for management distribution.
• Maintain strong working relationships with personnel across various locations.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training and professional association memberships, sharing knowledge with colleagues.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Grade 12 Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification in ICT or a business-related field.
• A Certificate in Data Analytics is a distinct advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in a relevant data analytics role.
