Role Overview: Conservation and Tourism Engagement Coordinator Jobs in Zambia

The Conservation and Tourism Engagement Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between Musekese Conservation and visiting guests, communicating our mission and facilitating meaningful, conservation-focused experiences. This position is predominantly field-based, requiring a passionate individual who thrives in remote settings and enjoys engaging with diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Engagement & Representation: Deliver compelling presentations on Musekese Conservation’s work; facilitate low-impact guest participation in conservation activities; uphold professional representation within tourism contexts.
  • Donor & Supporter Engagement: Identify guests interested in supporting conservation; coordinate follow-up with fundraising and communications teams; nurture relationships with potential donors and long-term supporters.
  • Storytelling & Communications: Provide regular updates, stories, and media content to the communications team; assist in ethical media gathering; align messaging with Classic Zambia Safaris for consistency.
  • Internal Coordination: Maintain communication with field teams and camp staff; ensure activities align with operational priorities and conservation goals; support management of shared content platforms.
  • Administration & Support: Document guest interactions and feedback; manage scheduling aligned with camp operations; contribute to internal reporting and provide administrative support as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc or diploma in wildlife management, hospitality, conservation, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum two years’ professional experience in a relevant role.
  • Strong passion for conservation and environmental sustainability.
  • Experience in guest interaction, public speaking, or hospitality is advantageous.
  • Comfortable living and working in remote or field-based environments.
  • Familiarity with the Greater Kafue Ecosystem is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a confident, engaging presentation style.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
