About the Conference Lodge Manager Role

As the Conference & Lodge Manager, you will oversee all aspects of lodge and conference facility management. Your responsibilities will include supervising accommodation services, coordinating events, managing food and beverage operations, leading staff, and ensuring financial and operational efficiency. This role demands a strong commitment to high service standards, regulatory compliance, and fostering a welcoming environment for guests and clients.

Key Responsibilities for Conference Lodge Manager Jobs in Chinsali

  • Operations Management: Oversee daily activities across front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and conference services to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Conference and Events Coordination: Plan and manage conferences, meetings, weddings, and other events, liaising with clients to meet their requirements and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Guest Services: Maintain superior customer care, address guest concerns promptly, and continuously improve service quality based on feedback.
  • Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate staff performance while promoting teamwork and professional growth.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare and control budgets, monitor revenues and costs, approve purchases, and generate performance reports.
  • Sales and Business Development: Develop strategies to boost lodge occupancy and conference bookings, cultivate client relationships, and support marketing initiatives.
  • Property and Facility Maintenance: Ensure all lodge and conference facilities, equipment, and grounds are well-maintained and operational.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance: Enforce compliance with relevant regulations, maintain food safety standards, and implement emergency procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Event Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of management experience in a lodge, hotel, conference centre, or similar hospitality environment.
  • Experience in managing conferences, corporate events, or meetings is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in event planning, financial management, budgeting, and property management systems (PMS).
  • Effective communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and maintain high professional standards.

Working Conditions and Performance Expectations

This full-time role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as operational needs dictate. You will regularly engage with guests, clients, suppliers, and staff, and occasional travel may be necessary for business development or industry events.

Performance will be measured by guest satisfaction, conference bookings, occupancy rates, revenue growth, budget adherence, staff retention, and compliance with health and safety standards.
