Position Overview: Company Driver

As a Company Driver, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles to transport staff, equipment, and materials to various construction sites while ensuring compliance with road safety regulations and company policies. This role demands a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance and logistics support to facilitate smooth project operations.

Key Responsibilities for Company Driver Jobs in Lusaka

• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all road safety laws and internal policies.
• Perform daily inspections of vehicles and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Transport personnel, construction equipment, and materials to and from designated sites efficiently.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records including vehicle logbooks and fuel consumption reports.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and serviced on schedule to maintain operational readiness.
• Assist with site logistics, including loading and unloading materials when necessary.
• Comply with all company safety standards and uphold a professional driving record at all times.
• Carry out any additional duties assigned by the supervisor related to transportation and logistics.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid C1 or CE manual driving license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
• Certificate in Transport and Logistics or a related field; mechanical or auto-electrical certification is advantageous.
• At least 2 years of proven professional driving experience, preferably within the construction sector.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong communication skills, excellent time management, trustworthiness, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project team environment.
