About ICAP and the Role of Clinical Coordinator

ICAP supports the Northwestern Provincial Health Office (NWPHO) with technical assistance and capacity building to enhance HIV and TB service delivery. The Clinical Coordinator will report to the Technical Director and play a pivotal role in coordinating technical support and mentoring provincial and district health staff. This full-time position focuses on advancing innovations in HIV/TB management, including bi-directional TB screening integration, and improving clinical outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities for Clinical Coordinator Jobs in Solwezi

• Provide direct support to the Provincial Lead and Strategic Information Director in planning, implementing, and reviewing ICAP’s technical assistance activities.
• Coordinate capacity building and program transition initiatives across the province in collaboration with the Technical Director.
• Represent ICAP at HIV, TB, and COVID-19 technical working groups and meetings, including engagements with CDC and ICAP headquarters.
• Deliver training and mentorship to ICAP, CoAg, and district-level HIV and TB program staff, aligning with ICAP’s implementation strategies.
• Lead clinical mentorship for managing complex cases remotely and onsite.
• Support clinicians at provincial health offices and hospitals to improve care quality for patients with advanced HIV, including participation in mortality audits and clinical meetings.
• Contribute technical expertise to provincial strategic reviews and HIV/TB program decision-making.
• Perform additional technical duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Medical Officer with a master’s degree in medicine, public health, or a related health field.
• Over five years of proven experience in HIV/TB clinical management.
• Training in both adult and pediatric antiretroviral therapy (ART).
• Ability to mentor medical and clinical officers, particularly in COVID-19, HIV, and TB service delivery.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with donor-funded projects is advantageous.
• Fluent English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Full registration and current practicing license with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) for 2026.
• Validated qualifications with the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZaQA).

Additional Information and Travel Requirements

The role requires domestic travel within the province to support program activities and clinical mentorship. The position is based in Solwezi and is full-time.
