Civil Engineering Manager Jobs in Kawambwa – Lead Infrastructure Projects

The Civil Engineering Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and supervision of civil engineering works across Nava Avocado Limited’s infrastructure projects. This role requires ensuring adherence to technical, quality, cost, and safety standards throughout all construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil engineering operations across the estate.
• Review engineering drawings, designs, specifications, Bills of Quantities, and construction methods.
• Monitor contractors and internal teams to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Develop work schedules and track progress against budgets and timelines.
• Verify quantities and completed works for payment processing.
• Coordinate procurement of civil works materials and services.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections of construction activities.
• Identify technical risks, delays, and cost overruns, recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including records, drawings, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Provide technical leadership and supervision to engineering staff and contractors.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
• Paid-up member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia.
• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant civil engineering experience with project or construction management responsibility.
• Proven experience supervising contractors and multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Quantities, and technical specifications.
• Experience in agriculture, industrial developments, large construction projects, or greenfield operations is advantageous.

Division Assistant – Production

Support daily management of avocado field activities, ensuring effective crop programme implementation, labour supervision, record keeping, and operational standards.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Crop Science, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related discipline.
• 2–4 years’ practical crop production or commercial farming experience.
• Supervisory experience in agricultural labour is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with fertiliser, chemical, spraying, and crop management programmes.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use farm-management systems.

Agronomist

Provide technical agronomic support by monitoring crop nutrition, soil health, pests, and diseases to optimize yield, quality, and long-term performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, Soil Science, Horticulture, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ agronomic experience in commercial agriculture.
• Expertise in plant nutrition, soil fertility, pest and disease management.
• Experience with fertiliser and crop-protection programmes; knowledge of fertigation is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, computer, and report-writing skills.

Stores Accountant

Maintain accurate financial control over inventory through accounting, reconciliation, valuation, and reporting of stock transactions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Fully paid-up member of ZICA.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in inventory, stores, or cost accounting.
• Practical ERP inventory accounting experience; SAP knowledge highly advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong understanding of inventory reconciliation and costing.

Marketing & Sales Executive

Support marketing, sales, and commercial activities through market research, customer engagement, sales coordination, and commercial analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Agribusiness, Economics, or related discipline.
• Fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing.
• 3–5 years’ experience in marketing, sales, business development, or commercial operations.
• Experience in agriculture, fresh produce, FMCG, distribution, logistics, or export environments is advantageous.
