Key Responsibilities for Civil Engineer Jobs in Lusaka

• Condition Assessments: Conduct thorough inspections of aging or damaged structures to detect structural defects, material deterioration, and maintenance requirements.
• Rehabilitation Design: Create cost-effective repair and retrofitting plans, including detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Experience: Between 3 to 8+ years specializing in infrastructure repair, site supervision, or construction management.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in CAD software, structural analysis, technical report preparation, and interpretation of as-built drawings.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Well-versed in local building codes, health and safety legislation, and environmental compliance standards.
• Professional Credentials: Registration with a recognized engineering body such as the Engineering Institution of Zambia is required for local practice.
