Role Overview: Circular Economy Project Coordinator Jobs in Lusaka
As a Circular Economy Project Coordinator, you will spearhead We Effect’s portfolio within a multi-partner programme aimed at promoting circular economy development in Zambia. The position emphasizes supporting MSMEs, fostering innovation, facilitating knowledge sharing, and strengthening collaboration between government, private sector, academia, and civil society.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee We Effect-led activities within the circular economy programme.
- Lead initiatives supporting MSMEs, including green business development, value chain engagement, and market linkages.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building for enterprises, civil society organisations, and private sector stakeholders.
- Manage a research and innovation grants programme focused on circular economy solutions.
- Develop knowledge products, conduct awareness campaigns, and implement demonstration projects.
- Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, private sector entities, academia, and civil society organisations.
- Contribute to project monitoring, reporting, and learning activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in applied sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Environmental Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of seven years’ relevant experience in project management, private sector development, or circular/green economy sectors.
- Proven track record supporting MSMEs, value chains, or enterprise development programmes.
- Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, ESG frameworks, or green finance mechanisms.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder programmes and fostering effective partnerships.

- Excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and report writing skills.
