Position Summary: Chief Executive Officer
Reporting directly to the Board Chairperson, the Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership and oversee all executive management functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for steering sustainable business growth, enhancing operational performance, and ensuring long-term shareholder value while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities for Chief Executive Officer Jobs in Lusaka
- Lead the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and investments to expand market share.
- Drive innovation and operational excellence across Bulk Oil, Cold Chain, Dry Goods, and Feedstock units.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to increase sales, strengthen distribution networks, and diversify revenue streams.
- Champion business transformation and continuous improvement to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Ensure sound financial management, including revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization.
- Strengthen corporate governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
- Build and lead a high-performing executive team fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders including customers, suppliers, financial institutions, regulators, and investors.
- Report regularly to the Board on strategic, operational, and financial performance with actionable recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Agribusiness, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- At least 10 years of relevant management experience, including a minimum of 5 years in executive or senior management roles, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, agribusiness, retail, or distribution sectors.
- Proven track record of driving business growth, operational excellence, financial performance, and organizational transformation.
