The Warehouse Checker plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of stock handling during loading and offloading operations. This position involves supervising staff, verifying product quantities, and maintaining high standards of quality control at the assigned facility in Lusaka, Zambia.

Key Responsibilities for Checker Jobs in Lusaka

• Order Verification & Auditing: Confirm that pulled items match pick lists, packing slips, delivery notes, and customer invoices precisely.
• Quality Inspection: Examine product packaging to ensure goods are free from damage, defects, or expiry before dispatch.
• Count Confirmation: Conduct manual counts of bulk pallets and individual items to verify quantities.
• Documentation & System Updates: Accurately enter data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and manage related paperwork.
• Discrepancy Reporting: Identify and report any shortages, overages, or damaged goods promptly to supervisors.
• Loading & Dispatch Coordination: Supervise loading activities to ensure safe handling and secure stacking of products for transit.
• Driver Coordination: Verify carrier details, including truck license plates and driver identities, to ensure correct dispatch.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety protocols, maintain a clean and hazard-free dispatch area.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Certificate in Business Management Studies or a related field is preferred.
• At least three years of supervisory experience managing large teams.
• Strong knowledge of counting techniques, stock management, and keen attention to detail.
