Role Overview: Business Development Manager Jobs in Kitwe

As a Business Development Manager based in Kitwe, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Bridging Gap Solution’s insurance portfolio across the Copperbelt region. Your responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, leading client acquisition initiatives, and maintaining excellent relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to create customized insurance solutions that meet client needs while staying informed on market trends and regulatory developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the insurance portfolio within the Copperbelt region.
  • Identify and pursue new markets, partnerships, and business opportunities to extend the company’s reach.
  • Lead client acquisition efforts including prospecting, presentations, and negotiation processes.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to promote retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored insurance solutions aligned with client requirements.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on business development activities and performance metrics.
  • Represent Bridging Gap Solution at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in insurance (such as CII, ZIHRM, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in insurance sales, underwriting, or business development roles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of insurance products, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet targets with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software tools.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
