This full-time position offers a strategic leadership pathway for a candidate with a proven background in business development. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in identifying new markets and growth opportunities, while supporting the company’s long-term expansion plans. The role demands collaboration with management teams locally and at headquarters to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and sustained business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective business development strategies to enhance growth and market penetration.
  • Identify emerging business opportunities, including new markets, customer segments, products, and services.
  • Focus on core market segments such as Retail, Resellers, Light Vehicle Workshops, Transporter Fleets, Mining Workshops, Agriculture, Government tenders, and Building/Construction contractors.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to secure sustainable business growth.
  • Expand existing product ranges and lead the introduction of new offerings aligned with company capabilities and market demand.
  • Gain familiarity with workshop disciplines including electrical, diesel fuel injection, hydraulic, and generator services to effectively market these capabilities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business growth, leads, and customer insights.
  • Lead and mentor a team, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance to foster continuous improvement and leadership readiness.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, and Internal Sales teams to optimize stock management, supplier selection, store layout, and customer service.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development roles, preferably within the automotive aftermarket, tools, industrial equipment, or power generation sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher qualification in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated strategic and commercial acumen with a strong ability to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
