Role Overview: Border Liaison Jobs in Nakonde

The Border Liaison will play a critical role in monitoring truck movements and ensuring efficient customs clearance at the Nakonde border. This full-time position requires proactive coordination with customs officers, clearing agents, and internal teams to prevent delays and maintain high standards of compliance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor truck movements and facilitate effective clearance at Nakonde border.
• Receive, inspect, and submit customs documentation to appropriate officers and clearing agents.
• Provide daily tracking reports to operations and clearing agents to avoid delays.
• Ensure quality and proper arrangement of documents during border exchange and brief drivers accordingly.
• Maintain driver discipline and enforce uniform standards at the border.
• Promote adherence to safety protocols at all times.
• Coordinate daily border updates with reporting lines.
• Use Alistair’s systems to accurately record and document all border activities.
• Manage and mentor subordinate staff effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of a degree in Logistics or Clearing and Forwarding.
• Strong self-motivation, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
