Position Overview: Boiler Operator Jobs in Lusaka West

As a Boiler Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and continuous operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of industrial boiler systems and related utility equipment. Your expertise will support uninterrupted steam supply essential for manufacturing operations while adhering to Zambian safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical knowledge in boiler operations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and industrial safety practices. Working within a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing setting, you will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities for Boiler Operator Jobs in Lusaka West

• Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial boiler systems to ensure a safe and continuous steam supply for production processes.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, promptly troubleshoot equipment faults, and execute repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections and monitor boiler performance to maximize equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain accurate operational and maintenance records in compliance with company standards.
• Adhere strictly to Zambian occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations by following established safe work procedures and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
• Collaborate effectively with Engineering and Production teams during routine operations, plant shutdowns, and maintenance activities to ensure seamless production continuity.

Qualifications and Experience

• Craft Certificate or equivalent qualification relevant to boiler operation and maintenance.
• Proven experience in operating and maintaining industrial boiler systems, preferably within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance techniques and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Familiarity with Zambian safety regulations and environmental compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
