Position Overview

The Aviation Security Assistant will report directly to the Senior Aviation Security Officer and play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of cargo, baggage, and passenger security. This role involves vigilant monitoring, screening, and safeguarding of all airport-related materials and premises to prevent unauthorized access and interference.

Key Responsibilities for Aviation Security Assistant Jobs in Ndola

• Implement access control measures as directed by supervisors.
• Monitor and supervise cargo and baggage from acceptance through sorting, transfer, loading, and until secured by passengers or owners.
• Conduct thorough screening of all cargo, mail, baggage, and catering items.
• Escort screened items to ensure secure delivery and handling.
• Verify deliveries to rightful owners or authorized agents.
• Ensure accurate baggage reconciliation between the makeup area and aircraft loading.
• Provide night-time protection of ZEGA Limited’s premises and installations, identifying security threats and preventing pilferage or unauthorized interference.
• Operate security screening equipment such as X-ray machines and metal detectors, identifying prohibited items for air transport and cargo premises entry.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Female candidate only.
• Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar aviation security role.
• Physically fit and able to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Excellent observation and communication skills.
• Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and high integrity.
• Zambian citizenship with a valid National Registration Card (NRC).
• All certificates must be validated by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).

Additional Advantages

• Experience in aviation or corporate security environments.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV systems.
• Possession of a valid police clearance certificate.
