Role Overview: Assistant to Operations Jobs in Kitwe

The Assistant to Operations will play a key role in supporting the overall management of transport activities. This includes ensuring the effective supervision of drivers during trips, enforcing safety measures, and maintaining compliance with company policies and relevant laws. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a safe, efficient work environment while coordinating communication between drivers and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, emphasizing safety protocols.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for drivers regarding breakdowns, accidents, or any trip-related issues.
• Manage truck documentation and proof of delivery (POD) records accurately.
• Track daily fleet movements to ensure timely and efficient operations.
• Communicate driver-related issues promptly with the management team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a Certificate in Clearing and Forwarding.
• Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in transport, import, and export operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a committed work ethic.
