Position Overview

As an Assistant Safety Officer at Zampalm Limited, you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining high standards of workplace safety. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, identifying hazards, and implementing accident prevention strategies. You will also manage occupational health and safety systems through regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance and well-being across all operations.

Key Responsibilities for Assistant Safety Officer Jobs in Kanchibiya

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard identification to prevent accidents and incidents.
  • Lead accident investigations and develop methodologies to mitigate future risks.
  • Facilitate occupational health, safety, and well-being through system management, audits, and inspections.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of Grade 12 GCE or equivalent (GCSE level certificate).
  • Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Management.
  • Membership in the Zambia Occupational Health and Safety Association is required.
  • At least two years of occupational health and safety experience, preferably in manufacturing or processing industries.
  • Experience in a plantation environment will be advantageous.
