Role Overview – Air Conditioning Technician Jobs in Lusaka

As an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician at Frostguard Services Limited, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance of a broad spectrum of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Your key duties will include diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC equipment faults, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on split, cassette, floor-mounted, and centralized cooling systems—including VRF/VRV systems—and designing HVAC solutions tailored to client needs and industry standards.

You will also prepare detailed service reports, maintain accurate maintenance records, and ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations. Providing technical support and professional maintenance recommendations to clients will be an essential part of your role.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and maintain various air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on HVAC equipment efficiently
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on split, cassette, floor-mounted, and centralized cooling systems, including VRF/VRV systems
• Design HVAC systems in line with client specifications and industry standards
• Prepare and submit accurate service reports and maintenance records
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
• Provide technical support and professional recommendations to clients

Qualifications and Experience

• Craft Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or equivalent qualification with at least five years of relevant experience, or
• Advanced Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning with a minimum of three years’ experience in installation, repair, and maintenance of split, cassette, floor-mounted, and centralized cooling systems, including VRF/VRV systems
• Experience in refrigerated truck repair and maintenance is an added advantage
• Ability to design HVAC systems according to client requirements
• Good computer literacy, including proficiency with digital diagnostic and reporting tools
• Valid driver’s licence with the ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles
