About the Accounts Intern Position

As an Accounts Intern based in Lusaka, you will gain hands-on experience supporting various accounting functions. This role is designed to enhance your understanding of financial processes and prepare you for a successful career in accountancy. The internship offers a monthly stipend of 3,500 ZMW and runs until the application deadline on 19th July 2026.

Key Responsibilities for Accounts Intern Jobs in Lusaka

• Assist with preparation and posting of journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities
• Help prepare financial statements and management reports under supervision
• Support tax computations and statutory filings, including VAT and PAYE
• Maintain accurate financial documentation through filing and record-keeping
• Assist internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documents
• Perform data entry and support accounting software system maintenance
• Carry out additional administrative and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, ZICA certification, or related qualification
• Strong numerical aptitude and analytical thinking
• Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with accounting software is advantageous
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn
• Effective communication and organizational skills
