As an Accounts Assistant at Zampalm Limited, you will play a vital role in managing supplier payments, performing reconciliations, and ensuring timely processing of invoices. Your responsibilities will include preparing payment vouchers, conducting thorough 3-point invoice checks, and maintaining accurate financial records in alignment with company policies and ledger schedules.

  • Prepare and process payment vouchers efficiently.
  • Capture and manage all supplier payments, including reconciliation tasks.
  • File all relevant financial documents systematically.
  • Perform comprehensive 3-point invoice checks prior to payment processing.
  • Ensure adherence to supplier terms and timely payments.
  • Promptly escalate outstanding queries to appropriate departments and management.
  • Complete reconciliations accurately and on schedule as per the ledger calendar.
  • Manage payroll-related payments within designated deadlines.
  • Monitor and review “In Progress” invoices daily.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards for all finance-related queries according to agreed KPIs.
  • Support the maintenance of customer master data within the financial system.
  • Foster strong working relationships across all company departments.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Applicants for accounts assistant jobs in Kanchibiya must meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:

  • Full Grade 12 GCE O’Level Certificate or GCSE.
  • Degree or Diploma in Accountancy or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as Level 2 CA Zambia, CIMA, or ACCA.
  • Membership in the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) is preferred.
  • Training in advanced Excel, SAGE 300, and SAP accounting software.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the agro-industry or a busy finance environment within a reputable organization.
  • Demonstrated success working as an Accounts Assistant.
