About the Accountant Role

As an Accountant at Champion Agro World Limited, you will oversee daily accounting operations, including financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory accounting, budgeting, and statutory compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Conduct regular reconciliations and oversee inventory accounting and stock reconciliation processes.
• Support budgeting activities and monitor financial performance against budgets.
• Ensure compliance with Zambian tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management to facilitate strategic decisions.
• Supervise accounting staff and coordinate with other departments to streamline financial operations.

Qualifications and Experience for Accountant Jobs in Lusaka

• Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least five credits.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent credential.
• Between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and financial management.
• Proven supervisory or management experience within an accounting function.
• Registered membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Zambian tax laws.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
• Familiarity with Sage Evolution 200 is advantageous.
• Experience with inventory accounting and stock reconciliation will be a plus.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license.
