About the Mechanical Engineer Role

As a Mechanical Engineer on contract, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of all mechanical equipment within the plant. Your expertise will ensure that crushers, kilns, conveyors, bagging plants, hydrators, compressors, and other machinery operate at peak performance with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Lusaka West

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Maximize availability and reliability of plant machinery and equipment.
• Monitor mechanical system performance and implement improvements.

• Registered with the Engineering Registration Board.
• At least five years of experience in manufacturing, mining, cement, lime processing, or heavy industrial environments.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical maintenance systems and industrial equipment.
• Strong skills in maintenance planning and management.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Computer literate with the ability to prepare comprehensive technical reports.
