About the Bartender Role

As a bartender at Graceal Lounge, you will be responsible for running the bar efficiently and profitably while creating an inviting and enjoyable environment for our guests. Your expertise in crafting both classic and signature cocktails will be essential, including developing 3 to 5 exclusive “Graceal Specials” that reflect our unique brand.

Key Responsibilities for Bartender Jobs in Chongwe Lusaka

• Prepare classic cocktails and craft 3-5 signature “Graceal Specials” to enhance the guest experience.
• Manage liquor inventory through daily stock counts, free-pour tests, and measures to prevent overpouring or theft.
• Train and supervise bar backs to maintain high service standards and cleanliness behind the bar.
• Promote premium liquor upselling to maximize sales and profitability.
• Verify customer age by checking IDs to ensure compliance with legal drinking age restrictions (no under 18).
• Handle cash and card transactions when a separate cashier is not available.
• Work flexible hours including nights and weekends to meet business needs.
• Be a resident of Chongwe to support consistent availability and community engagement.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of two years’ experience working behind a busy bar, demonstrating speed, accuracy, and integrity.
• Strong knowledge of various spirits, with the ability to distinguish whiskies from gins and other liquors.
• Willingness to complete daily stock sheets and maintain meticulous records.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
