About the Role

As the Chef at Graceal Lounge, you will take full ownership of the food experience. Your leadership will be critical to maintaining high standards, ensuring that every dish meets our quality and presentation benchmarks. You will manage all kitchen operations to deliver exceptional meals efficiently and consistently.

Key Responsibilities in Chef Jobs in Chongwe Lusaka

• Develop and cost the complete Graceal menu, balancing creativity with budget considerations.
• Lead and train a team of cooks, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards and FIFO stock rotation.
• Manage food stock procurement, inspect deliveries for quality, and liaise with suppliers effectively.
• Maintain kitchen efficiency to serve main courses within 20 to 25 minutes, focusing on presentation and taste.
• Ensure compliance with all Health and Council inspections to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
• Be a resident of Chongwe to support local engagement and operational needs.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possess a recognized culinary qualification.
• Have at least three years of experience as a Chef or Sous Chef.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage a team of five or more cooks.
• Exhibit creativity in menu development while maintaining cost efficiency.
