About the Driver Role – Driver Jobs in Lusaka

As a Driver at CCECC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of project personnel, visitors, and materials. Your responsibilities will include operating company vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company safety standards, performing daily vehicle inspections, and maintaining accurate records of trips and maintenance activities. You will also be expected to promptly report any vehicle issues and assist with logistical and administrative tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport project staff, visitors, and materials to designated locations within Lusaka and Mpika.
• Operate vehicles in strict adherence to traffic regulations and company safety policies.
• Conduct thorough daily inspections to ensure vehicles remain clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained.
• Maintain detailed records of trips, fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
• Report accidents, breakdowns, and vehicle defects immediately to supervisors.
• Support logistical and administrative duties as assigned by management.
• Secure and properly handle company property and equipment during transit.

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License (Class B or higher).
• Minimum of three years’ proven driving experience, preferably on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to flexible schedules.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, disciplined, and demonstrates high integrity.
• Experience with railway, road, or large-scale construction projects is an advantage.
• Basic mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance.
