Data and Admin Officer Internship in Lundazi
The Lundazi District Women Development Association (LDWDA) is seeking a dedicated Data and Admin Officer intern to support its Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (YEE) Project. This internship opportunity is based across Lundazi, Chasefu, and Lumezi districts and offers a unique chance to contribute to sustainable economic empowerment for youth in rural Zambia.
About LDWDA and the YEE Project
LDWDA is the implementing partner for the YEE Project, which aims to create meaningful economic opportunities for 3,800 young people across Chasefu, Lundazi, and Lumezi. Funded by donors through SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, the project strives for gender balance by ensuring 50% female participation. Working with LDWDA means joining an organisation committed to community development and youth empowerment.
Role Overview: Data and Admin Officer Internship in Lundazi
As a Data and Admin Officer intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the YEE Project’s administrative and data management activities. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and flexibility to travel between the three districts as project demands arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter, maintain, and update project data in databases and registers across all districts
- Organise and manage both physical and digital project files, records, and correspondence
- Assist the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer with data collection, cleaning, and verification tasks
- Track youth registration, attendance, and participation, ensuring adherence to the 3,800 youth target and gender balance requirements
- Prepare administrative documents including letters, meeting minutes, and routine reports
- Manage office supplies, procurement documentation, and logistics for field activities
- Provide administrative support for project events, training sessions, and community engagement activities
- Support preparation of financial records and related documentation as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and uphold data protection standards at all times
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Business Administration, Records Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and familiarity with basic data entry systems
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Chasefu, Lundazi, and Lumezi districts
- Experience working within NGOs or development projects is advantageous
- Good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
