The Lundazi District Women Development Association (LDWDA) is seeking a dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to support the Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (YEE) Project in Lundazi, Chasefu, and Lumezi districts. About LDWDA and the YEE Project

LDWDA implements the YEE Project with funding facilitated by SNV Netherlands Development Organisation. The initiative targets 3,800 youth across the three districts, emphasizing a 50% gender balance to foster inclusive economic opportunities in rural Zambia. As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the project’s success through rigorous data management and field engagement.

Key Responsibilities for Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Jobs in Lundazi

  • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive monitoring systems, tools, and databases for the YEE Project across all districts.
  • Conduct frequent field visits to Chasefu, Lundazi, and Lumezi to collect, verify, and validate project data.
  • Monitor progress against targets, including the 3,800 youth engagement goal and the gender balance criterion.
  • Prepare and submit detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual M&E reports to the Project Manager and SNV.
  • Ensure data integrity through regular audits and verification exercises.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices to inform project improvements.
  • Train and support field staff and community volunteers in effective data collection methods.
  • Maintain an organized system for all M&E documentation and records.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in M&E or data management within development or NGO sectors is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with data collection tools and basic data analysis software such as Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Chasefu, Lundazi, and Lumezi districts.
  • Knowledge of gender-responsive programming is a plus.

Additional Requirements

A valid motor rider’s license is highly desirable due to the travel demands of the role across multiple districts.
