Key Responsibilities

• Lead hydrological and hydraulic studies to support project development and regulatory compliance.
• Perform rainfall–runoff modelling, watershed evaluations, and flood-risk analysis using advanced software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM.
• Analyze groundwater and surface water data to assess water availability and long-term sustainability.
• Design effective stormwater management and drainage systems tailored to project requirements.
• Prepare detailed analytical reports for submission to regulatory bodies, including the Water Resources Management Authority (WARMA).
• Collaborate closely with engineers, contractors, and environmental specialists to resolve water resource challenges.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a focus on Hydrology.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience conducting hydrological assessments, preferably within the power generation or infrastructure sectors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Zambian water regulations and environmental approval procedures.
• Proficiency in hydrological modelling tools and software platforms.
