Position Overview: Delivery Officer (North-Western Province)

The role of Delivery Officer is critical to ensuring the safe, timely, and accurate delivery and collection of mail and parcels. Successful candidates will maintain high standards of customer service and operational efficiency while working across post offices in Kasempa, Kalumbila, Ikelengi, Manyinga, Mufumbwe, Chavuma, and Zambezi.

Key Responsibilities for Delivery Officer Jobs in Northwestern

• Deliver and collect mail, parcels, and registered items using a motorcycle according to scheduled routes.
• Ensure secure handling and accountability of all postal items throughout the delivery process.
• Perform daily basic maintenance checks on motorcycles and report any faults promptly.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service, including obtaining signatures for accountable items.
• Assist with sorting and preparing mail for dispatch and delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, returns, and undelivered items.
• Report any delivery challenges, delays, or customer feedback to supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to postal regulations, safety protocols, and traffic laws at all times.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Possess a full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with at least five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics.
• Have 1 to 2 years of experience in delivery, courier, or postal operations.
• Hold a valid Class A motorcycle riding license and demonstrate the ability to safely operate a motorcycle over varied terrain.
• Be knowledgeable of local routes within the North-Western Province.
• Exhibit strong communication and customer service skills.
• Be reliable, honest, and physically fit to meet the demands of the role.
