WidEnergy Africa, a leading Zambian renewable energy company dedicated to providing solar-powered solutions to underserved households and small businesses, is expanding its Solar Home System (SHS) business. We are seeking multiple experienced Regional Coordinators to join our team and lead sales and distribution efforts across several rural regions including Central, North-Western, Copperbelt, and Eastern Zambia. These roles are crucial in driving sales growth, building high-performing teams, and ensuring excellent customer service and loan repayment performance.
About the Regional Coordinator Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Regional Coordinator will oversee sales performance and field operations across clusters of 4 to 6 sales hubs. This leadership position bridges management and field teams, with accountability for sales targets, agent network development, loan portfolio quality, and operational execution. The role is predominantly field-based, requiring hands-on coaching of Field Sales Officers and support for agents to ensure effective sales hub functioning.
Key Responsibilities in Regional Coordinator Jobs in Zambia
- Regional Sales Performance: Achieve monthly sales targets, monitor daily and weekly sales data, identify underperformance promptly, and maintain consistent sales activity across all hubs.
- Agent Network Management: Support Field Sales Officers in building and managing productive agent teams, track agent activity and productivity, and enhance recruitment and conversion efforts.
- Field Team Leadership: Manage and coach Field Sales Officers through regular field visits and joint sales activities, ensuring active agent support.
- Loan Repayment & Portfolio Quality: Collaborate with customer care teams to monitor repayment performance, ensure effective customer follow-up, and address late payments or high-risk accounts early.
- Sales Hub Operations: Oversee efficient sales hub operations, ensure compliance with procedures, and coordinate inventory and customer service with Hub Operators.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators related to sales, teams, and repayments, provide weekly management updates, and foster accountability throughout the region.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in field sales, distribution, or managing agent networks.
- Proven success in managing teams and consistently meeting sales targets.
- Experience in PAYGO solar, telecommunications, FMCG, or microfinance sectors is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license with practical driving experience.
