About the Role

As a Product Specialist, you will provide essential technical support focused on hydraulic and electrical systems. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing equipment performance to ensure high availability and cost efficiency. Reporting directly to the Site Operations Manager or Junior Site Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with service operations, technical teams, and clients to uphold operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities for Product Specialist Jobs in Kitwe

• Manage electrical, mechanical, and maintenance operations effectively.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and corrective actions; support planning and preparation activities.
• Monitor maintenance outcomes and document results, root causes, and improvements.
• Perform risk assessments, shift reporting, and incident reporting following established protocols.
• Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines, including 5S housekeeping standards.
• Communicate operational status and deviations clearly to relevant stakeholders.
• Mentor and train client artisans in machine diagnosis, maintenance, and repair related to Normet equipment.
• Drive continuous personal and operational improvements.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification or equivalent.
• Possession of a Section 13 Trade Certificate in Millwright.
• Proficient in reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• At least 5 years of relevant mining experience, preferably in underground production environments.
• Willingness to work shifts as required.
• Membership in the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) with a valid certificate.
• Valid silicosis certificate.
• All qualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
