Key Responsibilities of the Senior Public Service Contributions Officer

The Senior Public Service Contributions Officer will play a pivotal role in managing contributions, member data, and staff within the public sector portfolio. The role’s primary accountabilities include:

• Contributions Management (40%)
  Ensure all public sector employers comply with contribution requirements as per the NHI Act. Monitor timely payments, update member accounts, and identify noncompliant employers. Coordinate inspections with the inspections team to recover outstanding debts and produce monthly reports to guide strategic actions. Serve as the main operational contact for public sector employers on contribution matters, supporting audits and compliance reviews.
• Member & Employer Data Management (30%)
  Maintain accurate classification and personal data of members and employers according to statutory requirements and business rules. Oversee enrollment activities to meet quality standards, update principal and beneficiary information promptly, and conduct regular audits of registration records for completeness and accuracy.
• Member Guidance & Support (10%)
  Provide clear guidance to principal members and beneficiaries concerning policy entitlements, benefit access, contributions, and claims inquiries. Address escalated membership issues efficiently and document recurring problems to develop permanent solutions.
• Collaboration & Issue Resolution (10%)
  Work closely with Claims, Provider Relations, Finance, and Compliance teams to resolve discrepancies impacting member services. Participate actively in cross-functional committees or task forces focused on membership and data integrity.
• Staff Management (10%)
  Supervise officers within the public sector portfolio, ensuring quality control of their work. Manage daily operations, guide staff performance, and enforce adherence to company policies and quality standards to promote team productivity and professional development.
